This document facilitates the contracting process by establishing standard guidelines and formats for developing and presenting fee proposals. Technical discussions and subsequent negotiations are aided when the Architect-Engineer follows standard guidelines when preparing their fee proposals. Further, it will help the reader to: understand the basic Architect-Engineer contracting process, understand basic cost terms, differentiate between the classes of Architect-Engineer Services, prepare estimates of fees for Architect-Engineer Services, prepare Requests for Payment guidance and standardized formats for the development of fee proposals for design services.

Back up documentation for ODC's and subconsultant invoices are required when submitting the request for payment. Refer to the A/E Special Conditions for additional details.
