Nancy Bechtol has served as Director of Smithsonian Facilities since 2012. She manages all facilities engineering and management needs within the 21 museums, research centers, and the National Zoo that make up the Smithsonian Institution, utilizing an in-house workforce of over a thousand employees. She oversees the Capital, Maintenance and Operations programs for all Smithsonian facilities worldwide.
